Member Spotlight: Women for Women's Human Rights

Women for Women's Human Rights-New Ways (WWHR) is a women's NGO that aims to promote women's human

rights, equality, and non-discrimination in Turkey and on the international level.

Through two decades of activism, advocacy and networking, WWHR-New Ways has contributed significantly to numerous legal reforms; increased rights awareness of women and the realization of women's human rights in Turkey; the advancement of sexual and bodily rights in Muslim societies, and promotion of women's human rights at Women for Women's Human Rights-New Ways (WWHR) is a women's NGO that aims to promote women's human rights, equality, and non-discrimination in Turkey and on the international level.

One of the primary programs of WWHR-New Ways is their Human Rights Education Programme for Women (HREP), a holistic and comprehensive 16-module program that is implemented on a weekly basis over a four-month period through participatory group meetings. Since 1995, HREP has reached over 12,500 women through uninterrupted implementation. The program aims to raise participants' awareness on gender discrimination and women's human rights violations, and emphasize the importance of independent women's organizing and the women's movement in the struggle against discrimination and rights violations.the UN-level.
